Why does my daily salary look different from last month?

The below refers to salaried employees, if you're hourly we'll receive your shifts as sent by your employer.

To calculate your daily salary, Wagestream takes the annual salary reported by your employer and divides it by the number of working days in each month.

Since the number of working days varies from month to month, the amount you accrue daily will fluctuate slightly. This variation, typically by a few pounds, is normal and does not change the total amount you're set to receive for the month.

Example: If your gross annual salary is £30,000, which equals £2,500 per month, and you accrue salary every day (Monday through Sunday):

  • In January (31 days):
    £2,500 / 31 days = £80.65 gross accrual per day

  • In February (usually 28 days):
    £2,500 / 28 days = £89.29 gross accrual per day

The amount shown in your app may also vary depending on the access limits set by your employer. However, this won’t affect your actual salary come payday.

Incorrect Annual Salary?

We receive your annual salary directly from your employer and use this to calculate your daily rate. If this is incorrect, you'll need to speak to your employer to ensure that they send us the correct figure for you. Please note that we're unable to amend this on our end.
