How is streaming affected if I'm paid in advance?

The below applies to those on an Advance payroll. If you're paid on Arrears, please see How is streaming affected if I'm paid in arrears? instead.

What does "paid in advance" mean?

When an employer issues a salary before the end of the pay period, this is referred to as an "advance" payroll.

Example: John Smith's pay period runs from July 1st to July 31st, but he is paid on July 25th.

What does "paid in advance" mean when using Wagestream?

With Wagestream, you can access your earnings as soon as they are received from your employer. This allows you to access your pay throughout the current pay period, right up until payday. However, after payday, there will be a period where you've already been paid for the remainder of the pay period.

During this time—since you've already received those earnings in your paycheck—your ability to stream wages through Wagestream will be temporarily disabled until the next pay period starts.

Example: John Smith can access his wages between July 1st and July 24th. Since he is paid on July 25th, his access to Wagestream will be disabled from July 25th to July 31st, resuming again on August 1st.
